ITA CSL API Change: 12/6/2021 End Date for Current System

On 10/13/2021, we released a new, upgraded ITA Developer Portal. This upgrade will provide increased platform stability and improved security, providing you, our customers, with a more robust API platform. This notice is ONLY for users of the Consolidated Screening Lists (CSL). The other APIs will be moved in future with future communications to follow.

CSL Users - What this Means for You

Accessing our CSL APIs via our new ITA Developer Portal will require all users to request a new API key for the CSL API.

The current CSL API will continue to work until close of business (5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time) December 6, 2021, when the current system will be turned off.

Please explore our new ITA Developer Portal and sign-up for a new API key. The new API keys are free and will continue to provide you with access to our CSL API.

As this is a new system, you will HAVE TO make some code changes in order to receive results. We did our best to minimize changes, and we apologize for any inconvenience. Please see the new documentation for the CSL for the changes.

If you have any questions or concerns about obtaining a new API key please reach out to us at DataServices@trade.gov.

Four Action Items to Not Lose CSL Services

1. You must register for an account. We have instructions on how to register

2. You must Subscribe to the API. Instructions on how to subscribe to the CSL API may be found on the portal.

3. You must make necessary code changes and test.

4. You must change your application code by December 06, 2021 (5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time).

Note: due to the cost of running two services at the same time, December 06, 2021 is the final date. There will not be any extensions.
